Damien R. Meyer

Damien R. Meyer practices primarily in the area of commercial litigation.  He has represented various individuals and business entities before the Arizona Superior Court, the United States District Court for the District of Arizona and the Arizona Registrar of Contractors.  Mr. Meyer is bilingual and can provide assistance to Spanish speaking clients.  Mr. Meyer was admitted to the Arizona bar in 2002.

Mr. Meyer also assisted in presenting the CLE "Considerations for Companies in Dealings with Mexico" on behalf of the Maricopa County Bar Association in 2006. 

Mr. Meyer has experience in real estate litigation, corporate shareholder disputes, contract disputes, fraudulent transfer litigation, breach of covenant not to compete disputes, probate litigation, bankruptcy adversary proceedings, construction law, construction defect litigation and personal injury litigation.

Mr. Meyer is an active member of the Arizona Bar Association and has served on the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel – Young Lawyers’ Division from 2004-2006 as Charity Event Coordinator and Vice President.  He has assisted in organizing the annual charity softball tournament that raises funds for Phoenix area charities.  The organization also offers an annual Continuing Legal Education seminar for recently admitted attorneys.

Mr. Meyer obtained his undergraduate degree in political science and Spanish from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  He also studied abroad in Seville, Spain in 1998.  Mr. Meyer attended law school at the University of Iowa.  In law school, Mr. Meyer won the “Best Brief” award in an appellate advocacy competition consisting of more than ninety competitors.  He was also the Moot Court Chairperson during his third year.  Mr. Meyer was awarded his Juris Doctorate in 2002.

Mr. Meyer was born in Estherville, Iowa, and resides in Phoenix with his wife Anne, who practices law in Phoenix.
